Push Track Practice - we worked out three times a day starting with usually the push track which is focusing on form using a dryland bobsled track. Second would be to hit the gym and the lastly to slide on the actual ice track.

There was a Jamaican sled outside our shed and so me and Kristi jumped in because that sled is awesome...not to mention my two favorite colors. That is her reaction if I were a pilot because we would most likely crash...a lot

Sports Illustrated and USA Today also posted the naming of the National Team!!! How freaken awesome is that!!!

If you dont want to read the article and browse the athletes profiles - I've posted the pilots and brakeman for the 2010 National Team which will compete on the World Cup Circuit below.

WC Pilots: Erin Pac, Shauna Rohbock and Bree Schaaf

WC Brakeman: (top left to bottom right)
Valerie Fleming, Jamie Greubel, Emily Azevedo, Kristi Koplin, JennaBree Tollestrup-Brown and Katelyn Kelly

Why is there SIX when there are only FIVE WC spots??? Jamie is actually an America's Cup driver but will push one race for World Cup and then go back to America's Cup to drive. Then Katelyn Kelly will join World Cup for the second half to take her place. Lon

The 2010 US Women's Bobsled Team! - last day in Lake Placid and wearing pink for the Susan G. Komen foundation
After a long day of travel, we finally arrived in Park City. We stayed at Kristi's house since her parents live in Lehi and we didnt want to drive up to Park City that night. They were ultra friendly and took great care of us. We each got our own rooms with queen size beds which was a total upgrade from the 3/room with twin beds at the OTC. It was nice to also have a pillow that supported my head while sleeping and her dad made breakfast for us in the morning. It was very lovely!

Trucks arrived with all the crates! We also shoved some duffle bags into the crates so we wouldnt have to worry so much about out airline luggage weight. So you can see all the crates lined up and the truck in the top right hand corner. What you see in this picture is Elana's crate stuck on the fork lift so we all had to push and wiggle to get it off.

Katelyn, Megan and JennaBree - just walking the track and getting familiar with the curves.

Park City start! The start block (piece of wood at the bottom of the pic) This track is A LOT faster and the drop in the start is a lot steeper so...,.we really have to run...fast....

Track walk - men and women's team walk the inside of the track with Coach Janis everyday before sliding - it takes about an hour.
