When I was in high school I had a couple project for my Young Women Recognition and so my mommy did some sewing projects with me. I've been trying to find something I can do to fill boredom and I decided to try sewing. I love drawing cute outfits, but because I practically live in sweat pants and a hoodie I never bothered trying to make my own. However - my sweet hubster bought me a sewing machine and I LOVE to ability to now create whatever my little mind can think of! So I went to the fabric store and fell in love with this swimsuit material...so I made a swimsuit
Material I chose. Has a nice island feel ;) I only got 1yd.
MIDDLE portion - I measured two things - 1: length from bottom of breast to hip and 2: width of mid-section (extra fabric was added to mine cause I wanted that free look in the front - see below)
BOTTTOM portion - just grab an old bikini bottom or even underwear that you don't/won't wear anymore and cut the side to open it up. Then cut an inner lining...don't need to be showing the world your goodies :)
FRONT - open about two inches in the middle and the material is just free falling...see below
BACK - upper portion goes around breasts and tie in the back.
